The Director of Social Media is a strategic addition to our Boston team that will help our agency stay on the cutting edge of Social Media Marketing strategies for our clients. We are looking for a candidate, with a proven track record to lead our social media team- providing vision, and the managerial skill to drive team productivity and quality deliverables. The Director of Social Media will be responsible for working with executives and senior management to ensure their team is meeting client expectations, delivering creative and highly effective strategic campaigns as well as managing the team of social media analysts. This role will be responsible for developing, overseeing and implementing all social media initiatives, strategies, and internal communications. This role will require a strong understanding of social technologies, strong strategic planning skills, and a history of successfully managing a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a collaborative fashion with all department heads to ensure successful outcomes for our clients.
  • Manage the social media team to ensure all team members are beating company expectations and delivering the best possible service to our clients.
  • Design, implement and report on new social media campaigns and initiatives across client base
  • Engage with clients to build a strong understanding of their needs and how they can best use social media for their competitive advantage.
  • Assist with new business development ideas and make key decisions on the direction of the social media team within the lines of the overall business goals
  • Work closely with the executive team to drive the social media vision and strategy.

Requirements:

  • At least 7-10 years of social media experience
  • 2-3 years of direct management experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of all social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Google plus and more
  • Proven history of creating successful social media campaigns across many platforms and client industries
  • Proven history of building strong client relationships and internal department relationships
