VP of Digital Marketing Sales - Automotive

Cutting-edge, innovative, Boston-area online marketing agency is looking for a VP of Digital Marketing Sales to help our company expand our cutting-edge presence in the automotive marketing space. The VP of Digital Marketing Sales is a strategic sales role that will help the company add more dealerships to our already growing client base and help foster a strong sales team to fit the needs of the organization. The requirements of this role include closing new business across brands and regions, sales team relationship building, internal and external collaboration, strategic and conceptual selling. The successful candidate will have a strong sales background who is eager to help strengthen and add to a growing sales team. First and foremost, this is a closing sales role. The VP of Digital Marketing Sales will be required to close sales while training and supporting the sales team to do the same.


  • Work with our CSO and the C-4 management team to create and implement sales strategies
  • Identify strategic business opportunities in order to hit new business target sales goals.
  • Focus on tier-3 automotive sales and ways to increase our client base
  • Position and propose tier-1 and tier-2 service offerings and models that can scale.
  • Document all strategies and activities and keep pipeline and opportunity value documents up to date in the CRM system
  • Assist Marketing; i.e webinars, regional presentations, etc
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the various buyers and buyer influencers and business models at both OEMs
  • Stay current on the latest automotive industry news and trends
  • Collaborate with head of Client Services and appropriate Account Directors to ensure success of certain strategic Dealer relationships germane to existing and prospective OEM relationships.
  • Work with the sales team, help train and encourage all sales members to successfully hit all sales goals.
  • Consistently close new business.

Requirements and Abilities:

  • THIS IS A CLOSING ROLE and requires the ability to pursue, manage, and close new strategic accounts.
  • The VP of Digital Marketing Sales will be required to communicate effectively with internal constituents both on the service delivery side and throughout a high collaborative team-based sales process.
  • The VP of Digital Marketing Sales is also a skilled presenter to small and large groups both online and in person.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field as well as 3+ years of prior automotive experience is required.
  • The VP of Digital Marketing Sales can expect to spend as much as 20-30% of their time on the road.
